eCall Days Germany 2012

27 and 28 September 2012

During the two conference days in Berlin, the focus will lay on the European-wide relevant issue „Automated Emergency Call for Cars - The pan-European eCall“.

The topic of the first day is the current status of the upcoming implementation of eCall in Europe. Political representatives of the European Commission, the federal governments of Germany and Czech Republic, the Länder governments, and other stakeholders will take a stand and present their ideas on eCall implementation.

The second meeting day is dedicated to the view of the Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) and car manufacturer and aims at presenting the ongoing technical process of implementation as well as discussing user-oriented options and outstanding difficulties. Moreover, an overview on additional services being easier to realise and provide due to eCall will broaden the discussions of the day. However, the viewpoint of private providers will coincidently be taken into account.

The event is rounded out by an exhibition with an eCall simulation and a conference reception on the first day.
